Had my usual and added teriyaki wings. Don't order those. Look burned and were nothing but greasy fat. Had no teriyaki taste at all. Ordered ten and 9 hit the trash. Second time getting a fortune cookie that was empty.

Great food! Never have I been disappointed. Their shrimp fried rice, lo mein, spring rolls and crab ragoons are my favorite! They're not too pricey either - I would recommend.

I've been coming to this place for YEARS, goodness me. Their rice is superb, their prices are affordable, and they give you a lot of food. Be prepared to be full. Also, I think it's a Korean family that owns the restaurant but who cares? The food is good, the prices are cheap, and they're conveniently located in Narnia, because you have to do a bit of maneuvering on Hwy 78 to get to them. Come here if you want cheap and good Chinese that won't toy with your digestive tract later!

I went here thinking it was like the Panda Express and once inside I realized it wasn't. The lady at the counter wasn't as courteous as you think she would be. I observed another young lady who didn't seem happy at the service she got. While I was waiting I happened to look at their restaurant score and it was a 86 and the score before that was 83. The fails were storage of food that may contaminate. Unclean counters and utensils for cooking. Counters unclean and this is what we are buying when we order food. If you are serving the public, cleanliness is very important. You can get sick if things are not properly stored or kept clean. The food wasn't bad but I wished I would've read before I got the food.

Let me start by saying that I have eaten here since 2008. I found their customer service pretty good. That is, until THEY order your food wrong. I usually spend a lot of money when I eat here, this particular day was no different. However, the lady at the counter placed my order for white rice instead of fried rice. I caught the mistake while the food was cooking and politely told her that I asked for fried rice. She told me that its an additional .25. Keep in mind, I just paid over $10 for a single order of food and I have been coming here for years. Well, I only had my Visa and told her that I don't have change on me. Basically, she told me to order fried rice next time and refused to change my order from white rice to fried rice. Now I understand why the place is so empty at all times. Will never eat here again and will advise anyone who considers eating there, not go there.

First, let me say that I ate here during my late High School and college summers back home in the mid to late 90s. After moving away, I always try to make this a stop when I come home. For the reviewer who took a trip to the "burb's" and was displeased with the sodium level: I think all of Atlanta is the 'burbs and it is what it is... Its not a trendy fancy Chinese Restaurant its VERY quick FRESH made food. Stay away from things that are deep fried because they pre-make them. Stick to traditional stir-fry and you will not find fresher crispier veggies. Yes things are on the sodium side, but what good Chinese place isn't? Now, for the service... .In the last 18 years of eating there, I've had one or two SNAFUS. Once when I was home visitingI ordered Hunan Beef and got Hunan Shrimp.. (I don't eat seafood) I was accused of ordering the wrong item by the proprietor when I returned the next day and plopped the shrimp that I had left in the fridge overnight down on the counter. After some persistence they reluctantly cooked me a new meal. The owner doesn't like credit cards and its a burden for her to run them (and likely pay the merchant fee) and they make sure they charge you extra for any changes BUT: Come to Washington, DC where there isn't good Chinese food and you will appreciate this place for what it is: Good decent fresh quick quality Chinese food

We've been eating there since 1996, and although we've moved from the area, we stop by whenever we travel to Snellville. They used to have a photo hanging on the counter of actress Brooke Shields and tennis ex-hubby who stopped by while he was competing in the Atlanta area. Let's just say -- you'll a lot of food for a little money. We usually order the Szechuan chicken, extra spicy, and hot and sour soup. It is killer good. If you are suffering from allergies, you will leave with clear sinuses and a full belly. Order it in a to-go container because you will likely have leftovers. As far as authenticity, I can't say. It's just good.

Mediocre. Edible? Yes. Small portion for price. I had Hunan Beef with white rice and a chicken egg roll. Service was very quick! There are better places in the area. Probably won't be back...

Ordered cashew chicken and the chicken looked and tasted funny, it looked like I got all the fatty pieces. It was hard to cut even though it was paper thin and translucent. So I took the meal back to the counter and said that it looked like i got more fat than chicken and was basically yelled at in front of all the customers. They pointed to the three other customers in the restaurant and said ask them if they think it is chicken, I very politely said I didn't want to interrupt strangers while they ate and took my food back to my seat and tried to eat again. I couldn't, when I tried slicing the "meat" it was tough and the texture was strange. So I went back up to the counter again and said I just couldn't eat it and tried to show them what I was talking about. The female owner was visibly shaken by my complaint and screamed that "20 years we have been open and you are the first to complain!" Yeah right! I was stunned. i said i am sorry i just cannot eat it and he told me that i should have said... i just looked at him and said now you are going to tell me how i should have complained? really? Start by being honest and a little more customer friendly. Very hostile and lacking in humility. I will not be returning, EVER!

Too tired to cook diner and wanted Chinese but didn't want to go to the same place that I usually go to. So thank you Yelp for showing me all the Chinese options around me. Headed over to this spot and I expected the traditional place but this place looks like it was an old fast food place. I tried the Gen. Tso's despite what Stephie Z said. So back to the house and with my Gen. Tso's and Scott Pilgrim. I have to say that Scott Pilgrim was a lot better than the food. Not that China Express is so bad but it's not as tasty as most of the hole in the wall places. I'll agree the food was too salty and a bit too spicy for my tastes. So the food couple with the drive in aspect for a Chinese restaurant it's just a bit off.

We've eaten in and also taken out several times. And every time the service is friendly, the food generous and tasty and the prices fair. One night we got there before closing (something we try never to do) and even though it was late and they wanted to close, the manager was very friendly and accomidating. You can watch the chefs prepare the food right from the counter, and everything is very fresh. The lobby is always clean and orderly every time we've eaten in, and the staff speak very good english.

I have been going to China Express for over 10 years and have never been dissapointed. The food is always fresh and yummy. Their service is quick and they are extremely nice. The staff is even familiar with my family. I love the sweet! Yum! You get a lot of food for your money. They have updated their menu and added some items that I am eager to try.

I was driving out to the 'burbs for a party and had a craving for some cheap, quick chinese food. I remembered this being a Panda Express location, but apparently it is no longer judging by the seedy outside and new name (duh). An order of General Tso's on top of rice was about $6 or so. I didn't really study the drive through menu since it was pretty fuzzy looking. The G.T. was your typical mixed deep fried chicken breast with broccoli, but this one also contained water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, and carrots. Oddly enough I liked those in my meal. Maybe I was having flashbacks to me putting those in every stir fry I made back in my college years. The food was hot and steamy, but I felt like the outside of the chicken was a little mushy. The biggest issue was the sodium content- I think all the cells in my body shriveled a bit after eating that much sodium. I wouldn't eat here again even if I was craving shitty chinese.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
